Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Enterprise Data Storage Administrator to join our team at Hobby Lobby. As a remote data entry professional, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our data storage systems, ensuring data backups, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and providing ongoing suggestions and best practices to the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain enterprise data storage systems, including NAS, SAN, and DAS conditions
- Implement and maintain enterprise backup and data security technologies
- Efficiently manage and monitor reporting platforms and software
- Define and implement storage capacity planning strategies, based on industry standards and best practices
- Collaborate with application, database, server, and other technology teams on architecture and configuration selection
- Provide technical support and guidance on complex activities, such as installation, configuration, and backup/restore operations
- Perform code updates and security patching to maintain the integrity of storage systems
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in data storage or a related field, with emphasis on networking and storage protocols
- Industry knowledge and experience with large-scale SAN design and implementation
- Proven expertise in enterprise storage administration, with skill in DellEMC, Cisco, and similar OEMs
- Strong understanding of current and emerging data protection technologies
- Experience with NAS concepts and protocols (CIFS, NFS, and S3)
- Knowledge of data synchronization technologies for both SAN and NAS
- Operating system administration skills (both Linux and Windows)
- VMWare concepts and administration
