The Role: Part Time Chat Customer Service Agent
As a Part Time Chat Customer Service Agent at blithequark, you'll play a critical role in helping music fans resolve their queries and issues via ticketing. You'll be the primary point of contact for customers seeking assistance with merchandise purchases, password resets, website assistance, and troubleshooting, among other things. Key Responsibilities
- Express genuine empathy and concern for customers' issues and address them as if they were your own
- Answer, evaluate, and prioritize requests from customers having questions or experiencing problems with services or products
- Identify high-risk customer situations and escalate them appropriately without hesitation
- Manage multiple chats simultaneously, ensuring timely and effective resolutions
- Accurately document all required information and chat details in our ticketing system
- Respond to and resolve open issues within an appropriate timeframe
- Identify trends related to systems, platforms, and/or customers and escalate them to management
- Multi-task using multiple systems, switching between tasks without loss of efficiency or composure
- Maintain punctuality and attendance at all scheduled times, remaining positive and professional in all customer interactions
- Demonstrate flexibility to cross-train as requested and adapt to changing client needs
Qualifications: What We're Looking For
To succeed as a Part Time Chat Customer Service Agent at blithequark, you'll need:
- A genuine love for music, particularly Pop and Country genres
- 3-5 years of call center chat experience, with a strong background in technical support (Zendesk experience is a plus)
- The ability to type at least 30 words per minute with 90% accuracy or higher consistently
- Strong messaging communication skills, active listening abilities, and a great understanding of text and chat acronyms
- Excellent grammar skills, with the ability to use industry-specific lingo when necessary
- Previous work-from-home experience is preferred, as is an understanding of contact center support metrics and the ability to implement actions for improvement
- A High School Diploma or equivalent is required
Hardware and Software Requirements
To work effectively as a Part Time Chat Customer Service Agent at blithequark, you'll need:
- A reliable computer with a processor having more than 4 cores
- At least 8GB of memory on Windows 10 or higher / 10 64 bits
- A screen resolution of 1280x768 or higher, with dual monitors required
- A USB headset and a stable internet connection (hardwired to a router)
- Up-to-date antivirus software installed on your platform, with a recent scan completed
- A firewall enabled on your system
- No Chromebooks, iPads, MacBooks, netbooks, or tablets are allowed (laptop or desktop only)
