Job Summary:
We're seeking an exceptional Math Instructor/Tutor to join our team in San Diego, CA. The ideal candidate is a bright, passionate, and dedicated professional with excellent interpersonal, mathematical, and instructional skills. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional instruction and tutoring services to students, creating a supportive and engaging learning environment
- Develop positive relationships with parents, establishing trust and confidence in our programs
- Become proficient in digital educational materials and processes, including the Mathnasium Method
- Teach in-center, online, and/or via hybrid delivery, using our proprietary methodology and terminology
- Assess student progress, collaborate with team members, and deliver exceptional results
- Evaluate, grade, and correct student work, providing constructive feedback and guidance
- Maintain a clean, professional, and organized learning environment
- Support non-teaching/instructional tasks as needed, contributing to the overall success of our center
Requirements:
- A passion for math and working with students of all ages
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
- Exceptional math competency, with a strong foundation in math concepts through at least Algebra I
- Ability to balance multiple tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and maintain a high level of organization
- Willingness to learn and be trained in the Mathnasium Method, with a commitment to ongoing professional development
