Key Responsibilities
- Involved in the entire development life cycle, including concept, design, and quality assurance testing, to deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Transform user/business requirements into technological solutions using Java, completing programming, test conversion, troubleshooting, debugging, and requirements analysis.
- Design and develop end-to-end solutions for Java-based web applications, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Participate in requirements gathering and solution design through JAD sessions to document the technical design approach for the development team.
- Build web user interface design and wireframe, ensuring a seamless user experience.
- Build and maintain Java batch applications using Spring Boot, ensuring efficient and reliable processing.
- Develop and deploy application code, monitor functionality, and act on production and non-production issues, ensuring timely resolution.
- Perform work under general supervision, handling moderately complex issues and problems, and referring more complex issues to higher-level staff.
- Possess solid working knowledge of subject matter, providing leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group as needed.
- Troubleshoot, perform root cause analysis, and provide remedy for production and business operations issues/concerns, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Perform defect root cause analysis, identifying and addressing underlying issues.
- Participate in test case review, ensuring thorough testing and validation.
- Perform beta testing for product upgrades, including Java, JSP, Hibernate, Angular, and other relevant technologies.
Essential Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you'll need to meet the following essential qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in IT or a related field, or 10 years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree.
- 4-6 years of experience in Java development, or 10 years without a Bachelor's degree.
- Active Public Trust or Secret Clearance, with a minimum of Public Trust 6C or supporting DoED clearance.
- Strong working knowledge of Java technology, including Java, JSP, Hibernate, and Spring Boot.
- Experience with web application development, including design and development of end-to-end solutions.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis.
Preferred Qualifications
In addition to the essential qualifications, the following preferred qualifications will be considered:
- 1 year of experience with RESTful APIs.
- Confidential security clearance.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies and JAD sessions.
- Strong understanding of software development life cycles, including design, development, testing, and deployment.

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits
