About the Opportunity
As a Customer Care Representative at blithequark, you'll be the first point of contact for many of our potential customers. This critical role involves providing outstanding customer service via our web-based phone system, collecting accurate traveler information, and connecting them with the best-suited Independent Travel Agent (IA) to book their vacation. You'll be responsible for managing a high volume of inbound and outbound calls, generating leads, and building positive relationships with potential customers and IAs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a high volume of inbound and outbound calls, providing prompt and professional assistance to potential travel customers.
- Follow team scripts to leave voice messages and follow up with travel leads accordingly.
- Accurately document customer interactions, transactions, and inquiries in our CRM system.
- Successfully transfer travel leads to the appropriate IAs, connecting potential travelers with their dream vacations.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with potential customers and IAs, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Assist with other tasks and special projects as required, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to adapt to changing business needs.
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- A minimum of 1-year experience working in a high-volume call center environment, providing outstanding customer service.
- A High School Diploma or equivalent.
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
- Previous experience in a high-volume call center, preferably in the travel industry or a related field.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to explain complex information clearly and concisely.
- A strong customer service orientation, with the ability to actively listen, empathize, and respond to customer needs effectively.
- The capacity to handle multiple customer inquiries simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite, with the ability to quickly learn and navigate new software applications.
- Flexibility to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, adapting to changing customer demands and business requirements.
- Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-based environment, supporting colleagues and sharing knowledge.
- A high level of professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical behavior when dealing with customers and their personal information.
