The Tergar Product Team is seeking detail-oriented volunteers to help us polish the new Joy of Living (JOL) mobile app before its global debut! This is a high-priority role that directly impacts the user experience for our entire community.
The Mission
As a QA Tester, you will be the first line of defense in ensuring a seamless, bug-free experience for practitioners worldwide. You’ll be working closely with the product team to put our iOS and Android builds through their paces.
Role Details
- Time Commitment: 3–5 hours per week.
- Duration: Approximately 6–8 weeks.
- Start Date: April 8, 2026.
- Estimated End Date: June 2026.
- Team Size: 3-5 volunteers needed.
What You’ll Be Doing
You will follow pre-defined test plans and structured cases developed by the product team. Key responsibilities include:
- Executing User Flows: Testing core features like course navigation, meditation tracking, and account management.
- Media Testing: Ensuring video and audio playback work perfectly across different connection speeds.
- Bug Reporting: Identifying glitches and filing clear, actionable reports in Asana.
- Regression Testing: Validating that new fixes haven't broken existing features.
What We’re Looking For
To help us achieve maximum device coverage, we are seeking volunteers with:
- Technical Experience: Prior experience with mobile app testing (iOS or Android) and structured QA processes.
- Detail Oriented: The ability to spot small UI inconsistencies and document precise steps to reproduce bugs.
- Tools: Comfort using (or learning) Asana for task management.
- Diversity of Hardware: We need a wide range of devices (various iPhone models and Android handsets) to ensure compatibility.
