Key Responsibilities:
As a Part-Time Safety Coordinator, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Safety Manager and assisting with various safety-related tasks. Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Assisting the Safety Manager in executing workplace health and safety plans in accordance with company policy and federal, state, and local regulations
- Updating and maintaining the safety manual, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and safety resources
- Assisting with site incident notifications and case management
- Utilizing digital tools and platforms to facilitate communication and document sharing
- Providing administrative support with Help Scout (safety communications) and the safety management software
- Organizing and maintaining the digital filing system through SharePoint, internal drives, etc.
- Auditing data within the safety management system to ensure accurate reporting
- Managing special projects as needed
Requirements and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
Essential Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a high-volume business environment
- Previous experience working in an administrative, safety, or similar role
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, organize tasks, and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), and Adobe software
- Ability to work independently and with minimum supervision
Preferred Qualifications:
- OSHA knowledge and understanding of safety practices
