Job Summary
As a Pharmacy Service Representative, you will play a vital role in our Specialty Mail Order Pharmacy team. You will be responsible for providing phone support to patients receiving life-sustaining specialty medication therapy. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating and processing new patient medication orders and refills, including verifying and updating benefits.
- Assisting patients with interpreting and entering new or refill medications into our pharmacy data system.
- Communicating and collecting copay amounts, obtaining approvals, and working with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to resolve issues with medication orders.
- Utilizing excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with insurance companies, patients, and internal partners to ensure timely processing of specialty medications.
Requirements
Essential Qualifications:
- Active IL Pharmacy Technician License.
- One year of experience in a customer service role handling and resolving a high volume of complex customer needs via telephone.
- One year of work experience with Windows-based applications, including Windows, Microsoft Office, web navigation, and email applications.
- One year of PC keyboarding experience, skills, and proficiency.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Preferred experience in healthcare and familiarity with benefits, insurance, prescriptions, and clinical terminology.
