All Jobs  >  Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) – Remote Turnwell Mental Health Network Apply Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) – Remote NM Apply Description Position Summary  SMHWI is seeking a full-time, remote Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to provide psychiatric care across a detoxification program, residential treatment center, and intensive outpatient program (IOP) in New Mexico. This role supports comprehensive, evidence-based treatment for individuals with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders.  The PMHNP will work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary clinical team to deliver high-quality psychiatric assessment, medication management, and treatment planning across multiple levels of care.    Schedule & Coverage  - Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM  - Weekend Coverage: 2 weekends per month  - On-Call Rotation: 1 week per month  - Remote Position (New Mexico and Nevada licensed, with DEA)    Key Responsibilities  - Conduct psychiatric evaluations and ongoing medication management for patients in:  - Detox  - Residential treatment  - Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)  - Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans  - Collaborate with physicians, therapists, nursing, and case management teams  - Provide clinical oversight and support for detox protocols and stabilization  - Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation  - Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings  - Support continuity of care and discharge planning  - Respond to on-call clinical needs during assigned coverage periods  - Maintain compliance with state, federal, and organizational regulations  Requirements Required Qualifications  - Current PMHNP certification  - Active New Mexico and Nevada APRN license (required)  - Active DEA license (required)  - Ability to practice independently under New Mexico scope of practice  - Experience in substance use treatment, detox, residential, or IOP settings preferred  - Strong clinical judgment and ability to manage complex psychiatric presentations  - Excellent communication and collaboration skills  - Comfortable working remotely and managing time across multiple programs  Compensation & Benefits  - Salary is competitive with market and opportunity for growth - W-2 employee status with SMHWI  - Full benefits package, including:  - Health, dental, and vision insurance  - Paid Time Off (PTO)  - Continuing Medical Education (CME) allowance  - Paid holidays  - Malpractice coverage  - Supportive clinical leadership and collaborative care environment  Equal Opportunity Employer  SMHWI is an equal opportunity employer and values diversity in the workplace.
