About the Role
As Senior Product Manager, Document Issuance, you will be responsible for creating and implementing a comprehensive strategy for document orchestration and issuance, driving the modernization of our ticketing process, and enabling flexible servicing workflows. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including agile development teams, to ensure that our products meet the needs of both the airline and indirect channels, while delivering consistent servicing outcomes for customers across all touchpoints.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as product owner for agile development teams, translating business vision into technical requirements and ensuring successful product delivery.
- Develop and execute a product roadmap that balances business value, timing needs, and development complexity, while prioritizing competing interests and seemingly disparate goals.
- Collaborate with other agile development teams to understand relationships and dependencies between teams, ensuring seamless integration and leveraging backend mechanisms to achieve desired business outcomes.
- Serve as primary commercial point of contact to facilitate development requests, working closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and identify opportunities for growth.
- Drive the modernization of our ticketing process, enabling a shift from an airline-centric approach to a more customer-centric order management system.
- Develop and implement a strategy for document orchestration and issuance, ensuring efficient and effective ticket creation and management.
- Work cross-divisionally to ensure that our systems meet the needs of internal and third-party consumers, while maintaining a focus on safety, security, and data protection.
What You Bring to the Role
To succeed in this exciting opportunity, you will need to possess a strong foundation in product management, with a minimum of three years of experience in the airline or retail technology industry. You should have a deep understanding of product management principles, as well as technical skills and business acumen to drive strategic decision-making.
Essential Qualifications
- Minimum three years of experience in airline, retail technology, or a related field.
- Strong business knowledge and technical skills, with an in-depth understanding of product management principles.
- Ability to manage multiple projects with limited supervision in a fast-paced environment.
- Results-driven, with a focus on prioritizing competing interests and seemingly disparate goals.
- Data-driven decision-making, with the ability to quantify problems, identify trade-offs, and develop solutions.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas in a timely, accurate, and effective manner.
- High school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency required.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
- BA/BS or advanced degree in a process or project management discipline, such as Business Administration or Industrial Engineering.
- Knowledge of revenue management theory or airline systems/data, including PNR, Order, Booking, and/or Ticketing.
- Experience in at least one commercial or operations function, such as Reservations, Airport Customer Service, eCommerce, Revenue Management, Sales, or IT.
- Experience working in an Agile environment as a Product Manager/Owner.
