Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and optimize application architectures, developing comprehensive performance test plans to drive success.
- Define performance test objectives, acceptance criteria, workload profiles, and use case scenarios to ensure thorough testing.
- Gather, measure, and analyze performance data, including workload, system, and application metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and maintain automated performance test scripts to ensure consistency and repeatability of tests, leveraging tools like Jmeter and Selenium.
- Set up and configure test environments that accurately mimic production conditions, ensuring realistic testing scenarios.
- Implement and maintain performance monitoring solutions to proactively identify bottlenecks and areas for optimization, utilizing tools like New Relic and AppDynamics.
- Collaborate with developers and other stakeholders to troubleshoot performance issues, providing root cause analysis and recommendations for improvement.
- Offer suggestions for system performance improvements and work with the development team to implement optimizations, driving continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, providing a solid foundation for success.
- Experience in designing and executing performance test scenarios for web applications, APIs, and microservices, with a strong understanding of performance testing principles.
- Proficiency in one or more load testing tools (e.g., Jmeter, Selenium) and performance monitoring tools (e.g., New Relic, AppDynamics).
- Expertise in Linux (Unix) commands and scripting languages, with a strong understanding of system administration principles.
- Proven skills in data analysis and problem-solving, with the ability to interpret complex data and drive meaningful insights.
- Basic understanding of SQL, with the ability to write and optimize queries.
- Strong problem-solving skills and enthusiasm for troubleshooting, with a passion for identifying and resolving complex issues.
- Ability to work collaboratively in diverse teams, with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
