As a Lead Information Researcher, you will be at the forefront of this effort, working closely with cross-functional teams to drive business outcomes through data analysis, modeling, and visualization.
Key Responsibilities
- Modeling and Analysis: Design, build, and improve machine learning models, working end-to-end from data collection to model deployment. Collaborate with engineering teams to productionize models and drive experimentation to test their impact.
- Deep Analysis: Develop a deep understanding of audience, brand, and advertising operational data patterns and metrics. Mine large datasets to identify opportunities for driving advertising revenue, viewer ad experience, and subscriber growth and retention.
- Complex Data Visualization: Create model solutions, numerical models, algorithms, and robust analysis that lead to actionable insights communicated clearly and visually.
- Collaboration and Partnership: Work closely with business partners to identify opportunities and with other data teams to improve platform capabilities around data modeling, data visualization, experimentation, and data engineering.
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- A minimum of 2+ years of experience designing, building, and evaluating practical machine learning solutions.
- 2+ years of experience with statistical programming languages (e.g., Python, R, PySpark) and database languages (e.g., SQL).
- A strong foundation in data analysis, modeling, and visualization, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for storytelling with data.
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following skills and experiences will give you a competitive edge:
- Advanced Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical skills, with a high level of statistics knowledge and experience with advanced statistical techniques.
- Python Expertise: Strong mastery of Python and its libraries, such as scikit-learn, SciPy, and PyMC.
- Experience with Bayesian Modeling: Familiarity with Bayesian modeling and probabilistic programming packages like PyMC.
- Data Platforms and Applications: Experience with data platforms and applications like Databricks, Jupyter, Snowflake, Windstream, and Github.
