Java Backend Developer – DevOps

Role description Job Title : Java Backend Developer – DevOps Location : Richardson, TX (Remote) Job Description : We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer with strong expertise in Java backend development and hands-on DevOps experience. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cloud-native architecture, CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and infrastructure automation, along with solid backend engineering fundamentals. You will play a key role in designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining scalable, high-performance applications in a cloud environment Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Java • Build RESTful APIs and microservices using frameworks such as Spring Boot • Implement secure, high-performance, and reusable code • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines • Deploy, monitor, and manage applications in cloud environments such as GCP/AWS/Azure. • Containerize applications using Docker and manage orchestration platforms • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including QA, DevOps, and Product • Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and technical planning • Troubleshoot production issues and ensure system reliability • Optimize application performance and scalability Required Technical Skills Backend Development • Strong experience with Java • Expertise in Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security • Microservices architecture experience • RESTful API design and development • ORM frameworks such as Hibernate/JPA • Messaging systems (Kafka/RabbitMQ) • Unit & integration testing (JUnit, Mockito) Cloud & DevOps • Experience with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform , Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure. • Containerization using Docker • Orchestration using Kubernetes • CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI • Infrastructure as Code (Terraform / CloudFormation) • Experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack) • Strong understanding of DevOps principles and SRE practices Database & Storage • Relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) • NoSQL databases (MongoDB, DynamoDB) • Query optimization and performance tuning Preferred Qualifications • Experience with event-driven architecture • Exposure to distributed systems design • Knowledge of security best practices (OAuth2, JWT) • Experience with caching systems (Redis) • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies • Certification in AWS/Azure/GCP is a plus Soft Skills • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities • Ability to work independently and take ownership • Mentorship experience is a plus Skills Mandatory Skills : Docker, Istio, Java Microservices, Jenkins, Microservices Other details Benefits/perks listed below may vary depending on the nature of your employment with LTIMindtree (“LTIM”): Benefits and Perks: • Comprehensive Medical Plan Covering Medical, Dental, Vision • Short Term and Long-Term Disability Coverage • 401(k) Plan with Company match • Life Insurance • Vacation Time, Sick Leave, Paid Holidays • Paid Paternity and Maternity Leave The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum salary target for the position across all US locations.
