Job Overview
In this exciting role, you will be responsible for performing routine preventive maintenance, minor repairs, and managing work orders and routine maintenance schedules. You will work under the supervision of a more senior technician, utilizing your multiple craft skills, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, and food equipment. Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure safety, proper functionality, and aesthetics of facilities, equipment, or fixtures, following established preventive maintenance schedules and guidelines.
- Inspect, clean, and repair facilities, equipment, or fixtures, observing and documenting signs of wear and tear, and documenting preventive maintenance activities.
- Perform minor repairs on facilities, equipment, or fixtures, utilizing multiple craft skills, inspecting, operating, or testing facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues, dismantling equipment, machines, or facilities to access and remove defective parts, and documenting repair activities.
- Manage work orders and routine maintenance schedules, completing and providing required written and electronic information, requesting parts for maintenance or repair work, recording parts usage, conducting price comparison of parts and travel-related costs, submitting warranty claims, and complying with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations and guidelines.
- Demonstrate up-to-date expertise and apply this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans, providing expert advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices, supporting and aligning efforts to meet customer and business needs, and building commitment for perspectives and rationales.
- Provide and support the implementation of business solutions, building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders, identifying business needs, determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices, monitoring progress and results, recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities, and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes, and new responsibilities.
