About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Data Engineering Manager to lead our media network team in developing and maintaining best-in-class data engineering solutions. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to shape the engine where the biggest brands in the world compete to win with our athletes. You will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality data engineering projects, managing and developing the talent of our data engineering team, and contributing to the development of our digital strategy and vision.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop data-driven analyses to surface new opportunities to differentiate and improve products and user experiences, ensuring consistency across digital products, services, and channels.
- Manage and deliver end-to-end digital programs and initiatives, leveraging agile and design-thinking principles to drive sustainable implementation.
- Develop digital training and development programs to meet identified needs; run leadership development programs to enable personal transformations on digital.
- Conceptualize elements of digital strategy/digital-enabled business change projects. Develop approaches to programmatically deliver successful digital innovation engagements.
- Manage a portfolio of projects while reporting to senior colleagues.
- Develop new methods, tools, and programs for quality assurance. Lead developmental initiatives or programs within an area of expertise.
- Contribute to the development of budget plans and/or deliver budget plans with guidance from senior teammates.
- Lead in detecting and analyzing cybersecurity incidents including attacks, breaches, and identified vulnerabilities and remediate any security gaps in line with the security incident management procedure.
- Communicate the actions needed to implement the function's strategy and business plan within the team; explain the relationship to the broader organization's mission, vision, and values; motivate people to commit to these and to doing extraordinary things to achieve local business goals.
Essential Qualifications
- A Master's Degree or Equivalent Level Preferred in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics.
- Substantial general work experience (over 6 years to 10 years) together with comprehensive job-related experience in own area of expertise to fully competent level.
- Experience of supervising and directing people and other resources to achieve specific end results within limited timeframes (13 months to 3 years).
- Wide and deep experience providing direction and guidance in data engineering, including experience with data engineering tools such as Google Big Query, Snowflake, and Databricks.
- Experience leading data engineering teams as a manager, including planning and managing resources to deliver predetermined objectives.
- Experience leading teams of contractors in an onshore/offshore engagement, and managing, mentoring, and growing the careers of data engineers.

- Experience in media networks, digital marketing spend, and revenue attribution.
- Experience with modeling complex data and developing data-driven solutions.
- Strong understanding of digital strategy and transformational projects execution.
