About the Role

As a Pharmacy Technician - Customer Service Representative, you will provide professional phone assistance through our criteria-based prior authorization process, ensuring timely and accurate documentation of all approvals and denials. You will work closely with our pharmacists to escalate clinical questions and judgment calls, guaranteeing that our members receive the best possible care.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to incoming calls from members, providers, and other stakeholders, providing professional and courteous assistance through our prior authorization process.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all approvals and denials, adhering to our quality and compliance standards.
- Escalate clinical questions and judgment calls to pharmacists, ensuring that complex issues are addressed promptly and effectively.
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of our prior authorization process, staying up-to-date on relevant policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing concerns and resolving issues in a fair and empathetic manner.

Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in a customer service position, preferably in a high-volume call center environment within the healthcare, social services, or a similar industry.
