Essential Qualifications and Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A High School Diploma or GED, with an Associate's Degree preferred
- 1+ years of customer service experience, with 1-2 years of healthcare experience desired
- Inbound call center experience, with a strong understanding of patient-centered care principles
- Excellent organizational, computer, and communication skills, with the ability to type a minimum of 25 wpm
- A professional, courteous telephone voice, with excellent listening and comprehension skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple patient interactions
- Dependable, reliable, and trustworthy, with a strong commitment to patient confidentiality and HIPAA guidelines
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
While not required, the following qualifications and skills are highly desirable:
- Bilingual or multilingual skills, with the ability to converse in Spanish and document in English simultaneously
- Experience working in a remote or virtual environment, with a strong understanding of HIPAA-compliant workspaces
