Job Overview

Key Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare providers with patient care procedures, including preparing patients for exams, taking vital signs, and documenting medical information
- Perform technical tasks such as administering intramuscular, subcutaneous, or intra-dermal injections, skin tests, and venipunctures
- Provide exceptional patient care and customer service, responding to patient inquiries and concerns in a professional and empathetic manner
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring confidentiality and adherence to HIPAA guidelines
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and other clinic staff to ensure seamless patient flow and efficient clinic operations
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of best practices in patient care and administrative support
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Medical Assistant diploma or equivalent certification
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred
- Prior experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably working with the frail elderly or in a similar healthcare setting
- Fluency in English and Spanish, Mandarin, or Cantonese, depending on location
- Current BLS certification
Preferred Qualifications
