Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Growth and Margin Expansion: Contribute directly to sales and margin objectives within assigned categories, analyzing market trends and competitor activity to inform strategic decisions.
- Data Analysis and Insights: Dissect important data and integrate findings and recommendations into Class Plans, including ideal SKU mix, Extracare loyalty programs, and special projects.
- Strategic Execution: Drive the tactical execution of daily category activities, such as tracking sales performance, monitoring promotional effectiveness, and making adjustments as needed.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with internal teams, including Stock, Estimating, Promotion, Finance, Store Brands, Store Design, Marketing, and Store Operations, to ensure alignment and effective execution of marketing strategies.
- Sales and Stock Analysis: Analyze sales records and stock levels of current inventory, identifying opportunities to optimize product mix and improve sales performance.
- Competitor Analysis and Insights: Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the competitive landscape, identifying new opportunities and providing recommendations to stay ahead of the competition.
- Market Research and Trend Analysis: Stay up-to-date with changes in the market, researching customer preferences, supplier costs, and competitor activity to inform marketing strategies.
Essential Qualifications:
- Retail Math Concepts: Working knowledge of retail math concepts, with demonstrated application in previous roles.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with some experience in databases or data analysis tools.
