About the Role: Data Entry Specialist
As a Data Entry Specialist at Walgreens, you will play a critical role in supporting the pharmacy team, ensuring the accurate and efficient processing of patient and drug information, and contributing to the delivery of exceptional customer experiences. This remote opportunity allows you to work from the comfort of your own home, while still being an integral part of the Walgreens team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize pharmacy systems to retrieve patient and drug information and process prescriptions accurately and efficiently.
- Assist pharmacists in scheduling and maintaining workflow, ensuring seamless operations.
- Model and provide a unique and delightful customer experience, engaging with customers and patients through exceptional interpersonal skills.
- Develop strong relationships with key customers, providing personalized support and services.
- Perform duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager, Staff Pharmacist, and Store Manager, including data entry, cash handling, and customer service.
- Maintain knowledge of company asset safety techniques and report any discrepancies or issues.
- Assist with inventory management activities, including ordering, unpacking, checking, and storing shipments of prescription drugs.
- Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge, including the Walgreens Pharmacy Technician Apprenticeship Program.
Essential Qualifications:
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with pharmacy systems and technology.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Six months of experience in a retail environment, preferably in a pharmacy or healthcare setting.
- Previous work experience with Walgreens or a similar retail organization.
- Desirable math skills, including accuracy in counting, measuring, and weighing medications.
- Proficiency in computer skills, including data entry and pharmacy software.
- Knowledge of store inventory management and asset safety techniques.
- Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification.
