Job Summary and Objective
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Charter School Finance Consultant to join our team. As a consultant, you will be responsible for providing financial expertise and support to our Charter School clients, including developing multi-year operating budgets and proformas, analyzing financial data, and providing strategic financial guidance. You will work closely with our CEO and other team members to ensure the integrity and accuracy of key client deliverables and will serve as a functional expert in financial planning and analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Planning and Analysis: Develop multi-year operating budgets and proformas for Charter School clients, including analyzing financial data and providing strategic financial guidance.
- Client Relations: Assist with daily client relations and support the CEO with timely submission of client deliverables.
- Financial Modeling and Analysis: Create value-added financial power point presentations and provide the rationale behind analysis, to relay them in simple terms to leadership teams.
- Process Improvement: Help develop best-in-class processes, tools, and templates to drive efficiencies.
- Financial Management: Perform financial management duties, including generating financial data, compiling and submitting reports, and assessing the financial health of the schools.
- Training and Development: Assist with training and development of junior team members.
- Ad Hoc Financial Analysis: Perform a variety of ad hoc financial analysis as needed.
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree: A bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business, accounting, or a related major is required.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience working in corporate or non-profit finance, with a focus on K-12 education highly preferred.
- Financial Analysis: Expertise in reviewing and analyzing financial statements, with a strong understanding of budget/forecast principles and performance management activities.
- Financial Modeling: Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis, with relevant work experience developing operational budgets for organizations with $5MM+ revenue.
- Communication Skills: Excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree: A master's degree in finance, economics, business, accounting, or a related major is a plus.
- K-12 Education Experience: Experience working in the K-12 education space is highly preferred.
- Financial Planning and Analysis: Expertise in financial planning and analysis, with experience in federal grant budgeting and management.

- Financial Analysis: Strong numerical aptitude and high attention to detail.
- Communication Skills: Excellent analytical and communication skills.
- Independence: Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Flexibility: Must be available during normal business hours to assist with urgent requests as needed.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint required.
