Position : Scrum Master (Exp in Medical Device or Healthcare Industry) Remote Location : San Diego, CA Duration : 5 Months Total Hours/week : 40 1st Shift Client : Medical Devices Company Level of Experience : Senior Level Employment Type : Contract on W2 (Need US Citizens or GC Holders or GC EAD or OPT or EAD or CPT) Job Description • The Scrum Master is an agile practitioner who supports and guides teams in applying agile principles and methodologies. • Their primary goal is to facilitate the continuous delivery of business processes and technology solutions related to the Medication Management Solutions (MMS) business. • The Business Systems Transformation department focuses on key areas, including Quote to Cash, Issue to Resolution, Technical Support, Field Service, and Sales, which covers leads, opportunities, quotes, contracts, and pricing. In this role, the Scrum Master works within the MMS Portfolio and project teams to maintain a consistent delivery cadence. • The Scrum Master collaborates closely with leaders, stakeholders, and project team members to prioritize work, manage dependencies, remove obstacles, and contribute to continuous improvement through metrics and feedback Primary Responsibilities • Facilitation & Execution: Support the execution of Sprints by facilitating key ceremonies such as Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Backlog Refinement, Demos, and Retrospectives to ensure smooth sprint progression. • Risk & Dependency Management: Assist in identifying and managing project dependencies and risks within the team, ensuring projects move forward efficiently. • Team Support & Performance: Help drive improvements in team performance and efficiency, focusing on delivering value and enhancing the agile delivery process. • Agile Practice Improvement: Contribute to improving agile practices by participating in continuous learning opportunities, coaching team members, and suggesting process enhancements. • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other teams on projects that require coordination across multiple capabilities and features. • Mentorship & Guidance: Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, helping them grow in their agile roles. • Scope Understanding: Work with the team to understand and break down project scope, including the definition of user stories and tasks. • Agile Trends Awareness: Stay informed about the latest trends in agile practices and share insights with the team to help improve the organization’s agile processes. Team Support • Project Execution: Lead and manage business systems software development projects from concept to completion, including: planning, schedule & documentation. • Guide Team Members: Provide guidance to team members on effective communication with stakeholders, understanding agile practices, and navigating the software development lifecycle. • Collaborate on Team Metrics: Work with the team to track and analyze key agile metrics like burndown charts, cycle time, and cumulative flow to monitor progress and identify areas for improvement. • Assist with Dependency Management: Help track and manage internal and external dependencies to keep the project on course. • Support in Removing Roadblocks: Assist in identifying and removing obstacles that could hinder the team’s progress, ensuring they stay on track with their commitments. Preferred Qualifications/Experience • Bachelor’s degree required. B.S. in Computer Science, engineering or other technical field (or equivalent work experience). • 5+ years experience managing software development projects (3+ years in agile environments: scrum, kanban, hybrid) • 5+ years cross-functional program/project management experience with significant focus on dependency management, risk management & resource/vendor management • Experience with Agile Project Management Applications (i.e. Jira, Rally, VersionOne) • Experience with various technology stacks • Experience with MS Office Suite including Excel, PPT, and Visio • Experience working in a service organization a plus • Experience within a medical device or healthcare industry a plus
