As a Remote Release of Information Specialist, you'll be working closely with our Manager of Operations to ensure seamless execution of medical record release processes. This is an exceptional opportunity to work independently, utilizing your expertise and skills to drive results in a remote setting. Key Responsibilities • Process medical ROI requests in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail. • Utilize Verisma software applications to manage and process medical records, maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements. • Support the resolution of HIPAA-related release issues, demonstrating expertise in handling sensitive and confidential information. • Organize records and documents to complete the ROI process, maintaining a high level of organization and attention to detail. • Read and interpret medical records, forms, and authorizations, applying knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare regulations. • Provide exemplary customer service via phone, email, and in-person interactions, ensuring a positive experience for customers and stakeholders. • Interact with customers and co-workers in a professional and friendly manner, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment. • Utilize reference materials and training to ensure compliance and confidentiality are maintained, staying up-to-date on regulatory requirements and industry best practices. • Attend training sessions and workshops to enhance skills and knowledge, staying current with industry developments and company initiatives. • Live by and promote WorkWarp's company values, embodying our mission and vision in daily work. • Perform other related duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to adapt to changing priorities. Essential and Preferred Qualifications To succeed in this role, you'll need: • A High School Diploma or equivalent, with a strong foundation in administrative and clerical skills. • A minimum of 2 years of experience in medical records or a related field, with a proven track record of accuracy and attention to detail. • 2+ years of experience completing clerical or office work, with a strong understanding of office equipment and software applications. • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite and other software applications to complete tasks, with a high level of proficiency in a variety of tools. • The ability to work independently, with a strong sense of self-motivation and discipline. • A detail-oriented approach to work, with a focus on accuracy and quality. Preferred qualifications include: • Experience in a healthcare setting, with a strong understanding of medical terminology and healthcare regulations. • Knowledge of HIPAA and state regulations related to the release of Protected Health Information, with a proven track record of maintaining confidentiality and compliance.
