The Hawbridge School is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Website Content, Updates & Redesign Coordinator to manage, improve, and redesign the school’s website. This fully remote position plays a key role in ensuring that our online presence is accurate, engaging, and reflective of our school’s mission, programs, and place-based learning model.
In addition to ongoing updates, this role will lead a phased website redesign to improve usability, organization, and overall user experience for families, students, and the community.
The ideal candidate is organized, creative, and comfortable working both independently and in collaboration with school leadership. This role includes biweekly check-ins, clear benchmarks, and potential for expanded responsibilities in the upcoming school year.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the redesign of the school website, including layout, navigation, and overall user experience
Develop a clear, user-friendly structure for families, students, and prospective families
Regularly update website content, including announcements, calendars, staff pages, and program information
Ensure all information is accurate, timely, and aligned with school communications
Collaborate with administration to post updates related to events, policies, and school initiatives
Maintain consistency in branding, tone, and visual presentation
Upload and manage documents, forms, photos, and newsletters
Monitor website functionality and troubleshoot minor issues or coordinate with vendors as needed
Conduct periodic audits to ensure outdated content is removed or revised
Track progress toward redesign and maintenance goals through biweekly benchmarks and check-ins
Qualifications:
Experience designing and managing websites (experience with CMS platforms such as WordPress required)
Strong understanding of website design, layout, and user experience
Ability to take a project from concept through redesign and implementation
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to meet deadlines and manage tasks independently
Effective written communication skills
Experience in education or working with schools is a plus

Compensation:
$35/hour + $2,500 redesign fee
