VP of Finance Consultant About SeriesUp
SeriesUp is a team of seasoned consultants who specialize in working with early-stage, venture-backed startups to help them build institutional-grade financial operations and reach their growth goals. Whether it's navigating a seed round, preparing for a Series A or B, or managing a complex exit, our fractional CFOs and senior finance leaders bring real operator experience to every engagement.
We don't just advise, we embed. Our team works alongside clients as true stakeholders, getting deep into the business to deliver strategy and execution that moves the needle. Our team is fully remote, with clients spanning the country. Expect 2–3 in-person team meetups per year, plus travel for client meetings and board presentations as needed. The Opportunity
This is not a typical in-house finance role. As a fractional VP of Finance at SeriesUp, you'll work across a portfolio of high-growth startups providing more career variety, faster skill development, and broader impact than any single company could offer. You'll operate at the VP level from day one, partnering directly with fractional CFOs, founders, and boards to drive financial strategy and operations across multiple engagements simultaneously.
You will typically manage 3–5 client engagements at a time, each requiring approximately 5–15 hours per week. Total expected commitment is full-time (~40 hrs/week). Client stages range from seed through Series B.
