This role is accountable for profitability, growth, and operational excellence in alignment with the Company’s strategic objectives, credit policies, and regulatory guidelines. as well as The SVP oversees recruiting, coaching, and overseeing a team of professional account executives and their leadership. The SVP also manages relationships with mortgage brokers and drives profitable loan production through tailored mortgage solutions. Success in this role requires creating focus, accountability, and cross-functional collaboration in alignment with the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and Senior Leadership Team to meet or exceed financial and growth goals.   Main Duties and Responsibilities:             Business Development and Market Strategy – Create strategic business plan to create a profitable Wholesale Lending Channel. - Develop and execute the strategy to create a wholesale lending platform that includes definition of opportunities to build the channel and acquire market share focusing on purchase money transactions, construction, select innovative products and non-qualified mortgages to achieve sales goals. - Create strong cross enterprise collaboration to define specific strategies to avoid channel conflicts. - Develop new business opportunities, cultivate and expand relationships with current and potential brokers and partners through value added educational presentations, and mutual business referrals. - Create and monitor competitor product offerings, pricing and rate sheets, and value propositions.   Financial Performance- Ensure achievement of business plan including volume and profitability to ensure goals are met. Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPI’s) and measurements for regional managers and account executives who are accountable for achieving results with frequent reviews and check ins. - Develop pricing and incentive compensation models to ensure the achievement of profitability objectives. - Collaborate with Secondary Marketing on pricing strategy and margin management while meeting or exceeding company financial performance goals. - Participate in the Pricing Committee, providing market intel and recommendations to address market share. - Demonstrate ability to course correct if goals are not on track, providing ideas and solutions to meet profitable growth. - Identify tools including technology and processes to drive customer value, account executive engagement and company profitability. - Collaborate with the Finance Team to create financial and operational performance measurements.   Broker Acquisition and Development - Identify target markets for growth based on market opportunities, employment base, population growth and migration, customer demographics such as millennial and Hispanic markets. - Create effective communication programs to cultivate and maintain strong relationships with mortgage brokers within various geographies to maximize market potential. - Create broker approval and define selection process to ensure brokers can deliver the Company’s target customer profile that exceeds the Company’s performance standards. - Conduct regular surveys with brokers to collect feedback on products, service levels, and technology, with the aim of evaluating broker and customer satisfaction. - Develop marketing programs to acquire and expand broker network to drive production volume. - Monitor competitor engagement on social media to analyze competitor brands and sentiment. - Measure marketing effectiveness of websites, social media, campaigns, and media channels.   Team Leadership and Development - Build recruiting plan, and work with internal and external talent acquisition teams to identify and acquire Wholesale leaders and team members. - Maintain a positive culture that contributes toward the Mission, Vision, and Convictions. - Ability to delegate and identify key strengths in leaders that complement executive leadership strengths. - Educate, mentor, and develop a high performing sales team to build broker and real estate relationships. - Set clear metrics for Managers and Account Executives to monitor territories and achieve company profitability and volume goals. - Oversee initiatives designed to promote, retain, reward, and attract top talent, including the President’s Club and Sales Rally programs. - Attend events, conferences, and industry events to facilitate account executive recruiting and broker acquisition and expansion.   Operational Excellence - Develop underwriting guidelines and automated fulfillment processes with a strong emphasis on delivering exceptional customer service to brokers and business partners. - Design and implement standardized workflows for loan origination that result in minimal manual touchpoints by utilizing automation tools such as AI. - Create KPI performance standards and operational reporting for the fulfillment team consistent with the Company’s policies. - Determine strategy for shared resource model with Retail Operations to create centralized fulfillment model that delivers certainty of loan funding in an efficient and cost-effective manner.   Characteristics: - Perform all actions in accordance with the Mission, Vision, and Convictions of EHL. - Manage the Channel to meet or exceed financial metrics and production standards. - Exude a positive attitude, mentor associates, set a good example (including appropriate dress and demeanor). - Set clear expectations for associates and help plan their personal and professional growth through routine, one-on-one monthly meetings with all direct reports, etc. - Review applications of newly hired Account Executives to provide feedback and corrective actions in file quality, if needed. - Periodically review loan approvals to ascertain the quality of work performed by Account Executives and other team members. - Address performance issues in a timely manner and document incidents. - Encourage growth and provide training and cross-training opportunities for all associates. - Wholesale Team members must attend training for new products, processes, or technologies to ensure understanding. - Maximize EHL technology by ensuring all Wholesale leaders and team members are versed in technology platforms and using them as a regular part of their production process. - Anticipate staffing issues, plan for staffing changes in advance, and complete monthly recruiting activities to hire high quality loan officers to fully staff the branch. - Host regular and timely communication with associates, including monthly branch meetings. - Understand the responsibilities of production and operations and function as a liaison between functions to develop collaborative team relationships so that loans close on time. - Maintain basic knowledge of Evergreen’s HR, Onboarding, Payroll, and Finance policies and systems and proactively consult applicable departments when dealing with issues. - Provide a “WOW” experience and effectively communicate with associates, clients, partners, and vendors via phone, written communication, and/or in person. - Create concierge model that provides exceptional service to brokers, account executives and sales support teams to provide through demonstrated knowledge of Evergreen’s mortgage processes and products. - Stay abreast of new and updated loan programs and be able to incorporate those changes into the business operations. - Perform all actions in accordance with the policies and procedures of the company.   Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or 15+ years’ experience in the mortgage industry working in a Third Party Originated or Wholesale Lending environment with experience creating a wholesale lending channel from scratch. - 8+ years in a senior, sales management role - Demonstrated competency in fiscal management, strategic planning, business development. - Excellent interpersonal, presentation and public speaking skills, both practiced and impromptu. - Demonstrated knowledge in data analysis, data driven decisioning, and performance metrics. - Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities. - Ability to recognize and cultivate rising talent. - Exercise good judgment and strong character, motivated, hard working.   Physical Requirements: - Ability to work in a fast-paced, occasionally noisy environment. - Business-related driving may be necessary; in such cases, employees are required to possess a valid driver’s license and maintain personal automobile insurance in accordance with EHL’s Auto Insurance policy. - Must be able to speak and hear, lift, and carry up to twenty-five pounds (25 lbs.) or occasionally more.  - Requires all forms of dexterity and mobility throughout the shift, which may include extended periods of sitting and/or standing. Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, twist, climb or balance, stoop, kneel crouch or crawl. - Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.     Compensation: The base annual range for this position is $200,000 - $300,000 per year depending on a number of factors including location and experience.   Benefits and Perks: Eligible associates (and their families) have the option to enroll in medical, dental, and/or vision coverage of which both the associate and the company contribute towards expenses. Basic Life/AD&D insurance for eligible associates as well as a Short-term Disability benefit are provided by Evergreen.  Additional Voluntary Life/AD&D, Long-term Disability benefits and Legal/ID protection plans paid for by the associate are also available. Associates are automatically enrolled in Evergreen’s 401(k) plan. Personal Time Off (PTO) of up to 13.34 hours may be earned monthly and associates may enjoy 9 paid holidays each year.
