Nokia is a leading technology company, and they are seeking a Software Tester Co-op/Intern. The role involves developing scripts and applications, executing test plans, investigating defects, and maintaining test beds to ensure product functionality.
Responsibilities
- Development of scripts or applications (Python, Java, JavaScript) to simulate various management activities and network scenarios on a web-based (browser) platform
- Development and execution of test plans to validate functional aspects of the product
- Investigation of product defects encountered during test scenarios
- Execution of tests and maintenance of regression and performance test beds, including publishing results and developing additional functionality
Skills
- Currently a candidate for a Master's, Bachelor's degree, or Diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field with an accredited school in Canada
- Strong programming skills (Python, Java, JavaScript)
- Familiarity with automation frameworks (Mocha) as well as web automation components (Selenium, webdriverio, Robot)
- Ability to learn quickly and to work in a fast-paced, innovative environment
- Strong problem-resolution skills
- Knowledge of software and/or testing methodologies
- Knowledge of database management systems (SQL, Neo4j, PostgreSQL)
- Networking and telecommunications knowledge
- UNIX operating environment (RHEL), Windows, Virtual Machines
- Knowledge of Routing Protocols (ie, OSPF, IS-IS, BGP, RIP), and MPLS is an asset
