Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Product Designer to join our R&D team at Real. This role involves working across the entire design process, from research and ideation to prototyping and final delivery. You will craft user-centered design solutions that meet both user needs and business goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in UX/UI design, be a natural problem solver, and thrive in a collaborative, agile environment. You will also mentor junior designers and help shape the design culture at Real, while having the flexibility to work remotely.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Lead End-to-End Design Process: Own the complete design lifecycle for various products, from initial research and ideation through to high-fidelity visuals and final implementation.
Create User-Centered Solutions: Translate complex user and business challenges into simple, elegant, and functional design solutions that align with user needs and strategic goals.
Design Artifacts Creation: Develop user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity visual designs that clearly communicate design concepts and ensure an intuitive user experience.
Usability Testing & Iteration: Conduct user testing and leverage data-driven insights to validate design decisions, ensuring designs meet performance goals and continuously improve based on user feedback.
Conversational Interface Design: Design and refine conversational interfaces for AI agents, focusing on clarity, usability, and engagement. Continuously monitor usability KPIs and optimize user interactions based on performance data and feedback.
Mentorship & Guidance: Mentor junior designers, helping them grow their skills, navigate challenges, and refine their design approaches. Foster a collaborative and supportive design culture.
Drive Design System Evolution: Contribute to and help evolve the design system, ensuring consistency and scalability across all products and features.
Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with product managers, engineers, and other cross-functional teams to ensure design solutions align with technical requirements and product objectives.
Champion Design Thinking: Advocate for user-centered design thinking across the organization, ensuring that design decisions are informed by user insights and aligned with business objectives.
Stay Current with Design Trends: Keep up with industry trends, best practices, and emerging design tools. Integrate new ideas and approaches into design processes to enhance product experiences.
Ensure Accessibility & Inclusivity: Ensure that all designs follow accessibility standards and guidelines, providing a seamless and inclusive experience for all users.
Balance Multiple Projects: Manage multiple design initiatives concurrently while maintaining high-quality work and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Advanced proficiency in Figma and familiarity with design systems.
Ability to incorporate user research, competitive analysis, and data-driven insights into design decisions.
Strong communication skills and experience working in agile, cross-functional teams.
Deep understanding of user interface and user experience principles, with the ability to balance aesthetics and functionality.
Proven ability to juggle multiple projects and deliver on time in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to mentor and guide junior designers while fostering a culture of growth and collaboration.
Experience designing for conversational AI agents, particularly with a focus on usability KPIs and iterative improvements.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field (preferred).
6-8 years of professional experience in Product Design, UX/UI Design, or a related role.
Advanced proficiency in Figma and familiarity with design systems. Knowledge of other design tools is a plus.
Previous experience working in agile environments, collaborating closely with product and technical teams.
Proven track record of mentoring junior designers and helping them improve their skills.
Experience with AI-powered conversational interfaces, focusing on user interaction, performance metrics, and optimization is preferred.
