Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Transportation Operations to join our Customer Operations team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for guiding and streamlining transportation planning activities, managing daily transportation operations, and ensuring seamless product movement from pickup to delivery. This is a remote opportunity, offering a competitive salary and the chance to work with a $1B budget, 600,000 annual load tenders, and 80+ carrier partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee operations execution of transportation planning across all transportation modes
- Manage shipments from NAOU/COMAN sites to customers and intra-company shipments
- Handle daily load volumes of 500-1000 shipments and manage any escalation concerns promptly
- Collaborate with other supply chain teams and cross-functional teams to execute business objectives
- Lead dedicated transportation business through carrier management, process management, and optimization
- Develop and ensure compliance with transportation SOPs and drive financial and operational improvements through productivity initiatives
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics/Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- 5+ years of relevant work experience in Transportation Management
- Experience with Oracle Transportation Management systems and SAP preferred
- Intermediate MS Office Suite skills, including Power BI
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- High attention to detail, ability to thrive under deadlines, and strong prioritization and multi-tasking skills
