Job Overview
The Senior Director, Global Head of Adversarial Abuse and Analytics will lead the charge in identifying and mitigating adversarial abuse, driving data-driven insights, and informing strategic decision making at arenaflex. This critical role requires a seasoned professional with expertise in risk management, data analysis, and team leadership. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Adversarial Abuse team in identifying and eliminating malicious actors, including account takeovers, spam, engagement abuse, and evading termination
- Develop and implement data-driven strategies to detect and prevent adversarial abuse, leveraging machine learning and data analytics techniques
- Collaborate with the Policy Development team to create policies using account, social, and content signals to describe malicious behavior
- Deliver effective and efficient operational performance, including quality, service levels, and talent management, in a global team working 24×7
- Manage accelerations with tight timelines, providing data-driven insights and implementing policies while building relationships with key cross-functional partners
- Stay up-to-date with emerging industry trends, including generative AI, and develop strategies to mitigate potential risks
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., mathematics, engineering, computer science)
- 4+ years of experience in risk management, fraud detection, and data analysis
- 2+ years of experience working with engineering teams to develop and deploy machine learning models
- 2+ years of experience leading teams with the ability to work non-standard hours as accelerations require
- Strong understanding of data analysis, machine learning, and statistical modeling
- Excellent communication, leadership, and influencing skills, with the ability to build relationships with cross-functional partners
Preferred Qualifications
- Postgraduate education in a related field (e.g., mathematics, engineering, computer science)
- 2+ years of experience in analysis of large datasets and anomaly detection
- Experience or demonstrated interest in anti-abuse activities
- Knowledge of SQL, R, Matlab, or other programming languages
- Exceptional business judgment, strategic, and analytical skills, including using data to drive strategy and business action
