At Matcha, a leading DEX Aggregator, built by 0x. We’re looking for a Senior Design Engineer to bridge the gap between design and front-end engineering while driving architectural excellence and technical innovation across our platform. This role is perfect for someone who combines deep front-end architectural expertise with a passion for crafting intuitive user experiences. You thrive on building scalable systems, sweating the small details, implementing UI improvements, and crafting smooth transitions.
You'll be great at this if you can:
Implement beautiful UI and smooth interactions
Build and improve our front-end architecture for better performance
Expand our design system and component library
Prototype quickly and refine designs based on feedback
Mentor others on modern front-end practices
Day-to-day you'll:
Turn design concepts into reality (even without detailed specs)
Collaborate with designers and engineers to build polished, high-quality UI components
Sweat the small details, whether it’s refining button states, animations, typography, etc.
Champion frontend best practices and mentor the team by contributing to technical decision-making.
What we need:
5+ years in front-end development, design engineering, or a hybrid role
React, TypeScript, and modern front-end architecture skills
Experience with vector and motion graphics, including SVG, HTML5 Canvas, and animation using JavaScript and CSS (e.g., Framer motion, GreenSock, three.js, ProcessingJS, etc).
Experience building design systems and component libraries
Strong UX sensibilities with an eye for detail
You live in a US/EU Compatible Time Zone
An eye for detail—you care about spacing, typography, animations, and micro-interactions.
Passion for finance, Web3, and crypto
Bonus points for:
Experience with TradFi or Web3 products
Experience with GraphQL/REST APIs
Hands-on crypto experience—familiarity with Ethereum addresses, ENS, dApps, and on-chain interactions.
User of Matcha and other decentralized exchanges and products.

BENEFITS
The base salary range for this position is USD $95,000 - $230,000 + equity + ZRX tokens + benefits. Within the range, individual pay is determined by job-related skills, experience, location, business needs, and candidate preferences between the different compensation elements.
