About the Role
We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our IT Analytics team. As a Senior Data Engineer, you'll play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our data engineering solutions. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and deploy analytics solutions that drive business insights and inform strategic decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain large-scale data engineering solutions using cloud-based technologies, including Microsoft Azure
- Collaborate with source data application teams and product owners to configure, implement, and support analytics solutions that provide actionable insights
- Develop and maintain data pipelines using cloud-based technologies, including Azure EventHub, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Databricks
- Perform various aspects of the development lifecycle, including design, cloud engineering, ingestion, deployment, data modeling, testing, and performance tuning
- Provide technical leadership and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business outcomes
- Develop and maintain coding standards, best practices, and security guidelines
- Coach and mentor team members on technical and domain skills
Requirements
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related technical discipline
- 3+ years of experience in programming solution development using agile methodologies and DevOps practices
- 3+ years of experience in data analysis using SQL
- 2+ years of experience in cloud development and data lake experience, preferably using Microsoft Azure
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or C++
- Experience with data engineering tools, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Azure EventHub
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in programming solution development using agile methodologies and DevOps practices
- 5+ years of experience in data analysis using SQL
- 3+ years of experience in full-stack development, preferably using cloud-based technologies
- Experience with Azure Cloud technologies, including Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Databricks
- Certifications in Azure, such as Azure Data Engineer or Azure Solutions Architect
