About the Role
We're looking for a Senior Analyst, Advanced Analytics, Supply Diagnostics, to support our VP Supply and their team. This role is pivotal in generating diagnostic insights related to supply metrics and dimensions, using advanced causal modeling to inform strategic decision-making processes. As a Senior Analyst, you'll be responsible for gathering and analyzing data, generating insights, and delivering recommendations to improve the quality and profitability of our supply.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct advanced data analysis and causal modeling to extract actionable insights that inform strategic decisions related to supply metrics and dimensions.
- Collaborate closely with the VP Supply and their team, providing data-driven insights to support strategic decisions.
- Monitor and analyze key metrics such as occupancy, quality, pricing, along with key dimensions like location, type, size and capacity, amenities.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive metrics and reports to monitor supply performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Strategic Finance, Data and Analytical Engineering, and Data Science, to align strategies and leverage synergies.
- Contribute to the advancement of the Analytics and Data Science disciplines at Airbnb by driving best practices in analytics, automating analytical processes, and promoting data education across the company.
Essential Qualifications
To excel in this role, you'll need:
- 4+ years of industry experience with a degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, Operations Research).
- Prior experience in advanced analytics or business data science within a marketplace or business strategy setting.
- Deep understanding of data analysis and causal modeling, with a specific focus on supply metrics and dimensions.
- Exceptional business acumen, strategic thinking skills, and the ability to make informed judgments.
- Excellent communication skills, adept at engaging with a variety of stakeholders and conveying complex concepts in an accessible manner.
- Proven stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate and influence across functions.
- An agile, growth-minded approach, demonstrated through a history of driving projects from ideation to impact.
Preferred Qualifications

Compensation and Benefits
