Position Summary
The Part-Time Occupational Therapist (OT) serves as a key member of the WAC Special Education team, supporting students in developing the skills needed for meaningful participation in their educational experience. Through a virtual, mentor-based approach, this role provides individualized therapy services, collaborates with families and team members, and contributes to student growth in alignment with Williamsburg Learning’s commitment to personalized, human-centered education .
Essential Duties (Top 5 Roles)
1) Direct Student Services (Virtual Delivery)
● Deliver individualized occupational therapy services to students in a fully virtual setting (up to 20 hours/week)
● Implement IEP goals related to fine motor, sensory processing, executive functioning, and adaptive skills
● Utilize creative and engaging strategies to support student participation in an online learning environment
2) Evaluation & Documentation
● Conduct virtual assessments and contribute to initial evaluations and re-evaluations
● Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation in accordance with IDEA and state guidelines
● Develop and update IEP goals, progress reports, and service logs
3) Collaboration & Consultation
● Partner with mentors, SPED team members, and families to support student success
● Provide consultation and strategies to support accommodations and modifications in the virtual classroom
● Participate in IEP meetings and team discussions as a related service provider
4) Compliance & Case Support
● Ensure services are delivered in alignment with IEP requirements and service minutes
● Stay informed on federal, state, and WAC-specific special education compliance requirements
● Support audit readiness and contribute to maintaining high-quality program standards
5) Program Contribution & Continuous Improvement
● Contribute to the development of innovative virtual therapy practices aligned with WL’s philosophy of blending classical education with modern tools
● Engage in team meetings, professional development, and collaborative problem-solving
● Support a culture of proactive communication, growth mindset, and continuous improvement

Minimum Qualifications
● Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy
● Active Colorado Occupational Therapist license (required)
● Experience working with school-aged students, preferably in a special education setting
● Familiarity with virtual service delivery or willingness to adapt to teletherapy models
● Strong understanding of IEP development, IDEA compliance, and related service requirements
● Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and interdisciplinary teams
● Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining strong team connection
Work Conditions
- This role is primarily virtual; however, the Occupational Therapist must be able to conduct in-person evaluations within the state of Colorado as needed to ensure compliance and high-quality student support
- Must be available during regular business hours and peak enrollment cycles
- Occasional off-hour virtual meetings may be required

Salary Range
- $40 an hour, up to 20 hours per week
