Requirements
Educational Qualifications or Education Experience.
• Possess a degree in Education, Spanish, or a related field. A teaching certification is a plus however not required.
Spanish Language Proficiency
• Demonstrate proficiency in the Spanish language at a level of at least B2, as per the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
Teaching Sample:
• Successfully pass a live or recorded (video) sample lesson, approximately 10 minutes in duration. You will be provided with a topic to teach during this sample, allowing us to evaluate your teaching style, creativity, and ability to engage young learners.
Additional Qualifications
• Prior understanding of Second Language Acquisition tools such as: use of Props and Realia, Total Physical Response (TPR), Comprehensible Input, Scaffolding, Modeling, Eliminating Incidental Language
• Preferred experience in TSSL(Teaching Spanish as a Second Language) or TESL (Teaching English as a Second Language)
• Able to learn a Spanish Immersion class for children with no prior experience with Spanish
• Prior experience teaching Spanish to children
• Prior experience working with children ages 3-9
• Comfortable singing, dancing, and leading a high energy class for young learners
• High energy, engaging, and dynamic teaching style
• Familiarity with online teaching platforms and tools
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Teaching times that are looking for:
• Part-Time & Full Time Opportunities)
• Classes offered between 8:00am EST and 10:00pm EST every day (including Saturday)
• High demand for classes offered on Mondays, Fridays, and Saturdays.
Compensation
• Base per hour teaching rate ($20-$27.50)

At Spanish with Littles we help young learners tap into their SUPERPOWER for learning languages and we believe your experience and passion for teaching could be a great fit for our online school! Questions: 1. Please tell us more about yourself: tell us your relevant experience working with kids ages 3-9, teaching languages, and any online teaching experience you may have.
2. How would you describe yourself as a teacher? What would you say motivates you as a teacher? Do you have a teaching motto? Why did you initially become a teacher?
3. Tell us more about what you are looking for in an online teaching job: Why are you looking for a job? What kind of support would you like to have from Spanish with Littles to help you succeed in the classroom?
4. Most of our students are ages 3-6. What experience do you have working with this age group? How do you believe children ages 3-6 best learn a second language?
5. We do not offer guaranteed hours at Spanish with littles as our classes are based on demand. Our high demand classes are on Saturday 8:00am EST-4:00pm EST and Evenings 3pm-7pm EST weekdays. What hours in these windows would you be available to work?
6. What would you do if a 4 year old student came to their first class and seemed to feel nervous and didn't want to participate in the class? How would you go about making this student feel welcome and comfortable?
