Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Robert Half is seeking a Senior Product Architect for AI Experience (AIX) who will be responsible for the end-to-end technical and experience architecture of AI-driven products. This role requires expertise in system architecture and a focus on AI User Experience principles to ensure that AI systems are performant, scalable, and user-friendly.
Responsibilities
• Define the foundational architecture for AI-powered features, spanning data ingestion, feature stores, model training environments, and real-time inference pipelines (MLOps)
• Make strategic technical decisions regarding the stack, cloud resources (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), and distributed systems to ensure our AI products are highly scalable, cost-efficient, and maintain low latency
• Collaborate with the Product Management team to translate ambiguous user needs and business goals into clear, executable technical requirements and architectural designs
• Own the technical product roadmap, documenting system architecture, dependencies, and trade-offs
• Architect systems that inherently support AIX principles, ensuring mechanisms for confidence scoring and data lineage are built into the production architecture from day one
• Design the interaction model and data flows that allow users to provide feedback, correct AI errors, and seamlessly override AI-generated outputs, maintaining a sense of user agency
• Work closely with UX/UI designers and front-end engineers to define the APIs and data structures necessary to visually communicate complex AI insights and uncertainty to the user
• Ensure the system architecture supports data governance, fairness audits, and compliance with data privacy regulations
• Serve as the primary technical point-of-contact, mentoring and guiding Engineering, Data Science, and UX teams on architectural patterns, technical feasibility, and AIX best practices
• Lead technical and architectural review meetings, fostering a culture of technical rigor and excellence
Skills
• 7+ years of experience in Software or Product Architecture, with a minimum of 3 years focused on production Machine Learning/AI systems
• Expertise in designing and deploying end-to-end ML pipelines, feature stores, and real-time inference serving layers
• Deep understanding of machine learning algorithms (Deep Learning, NLP, etc.), cloud-native ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch), and cloud infrastructure (Azure preferred)
• Strong familiarity with User Experience (UX) principles and a demonstrated ability to translate user-centric needs (especially related to trust, transparency, and error states) into scalable technical architecture
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related technical field
• Proven experience implementing a mature MLOps strategy (CI/CD for models, monitoring, and model versioning)
• Experience in prompt engineering and designing complex Generative AI applications
• Experience defining or contributing to a Design System that supports both traditional UI components and AI-specific feedback/visualization components
