About the Role
As a Remote Medical Benefits Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring that patients receive the care they need by processing prior authorization requests, verifying insurance coverage, and collaborating with healthcare providers and insurance companies. This is a full-time, remote position with a competitive salary of $17/hr, weekly pay, and benefits. You'll work within an 8-hour shift between 8am-8pm CST, Monday to Friday, and enjoy the flexibility of working from home with equipment provided by our client.
Key Responsibilities
- Submit and track prior authorization requests via inbound and outbound calls, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Verify patients' medical insurance eligibility and coverage, staying up-to-date with changing insurance policies and regulations.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare providers and insurers to ensure compliance and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of approvals and denials, providing insights that inform future decisions.
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you must have:
- At least 1 year of experience in medical benefits, demonstrating a strong understanding of medical terminology and insurance policies.
