The Business Development Representative (BDR) drives pipeline growth by filling sales reps’ calendars with high-quality, high-potential meetings likely to generate near-term recurring revenue.
Responsibilities
- Prospect & Qualify: Identify, research, and qualify target accounts and contacts, including cold prospects and existing clients
- Engage Leads Quickly: Respond to inbound inquiries within 5 minutes during business hours to maximize conversion opportunities
- Book Sales Appointments: Schedule qualified meetings for sales reps, adhering to lead handoff SLAs; only meetings that meet these criteria count toward quota
- Ensure Meeting Quality: Confirm that all meeting participants meet qualification standards; meeting-to-deal and deal-close conversion rates will be tracked to ensure appointment quality
- Maintain Activity Levels: Achieve or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly outreach targets via phone, email, and other channels
- Leverage Enablement Materials: Use sales enablement resources effectively to deliver relevant and compelling messaging tailored to each prospect
- Maintain CRM Hygiene:
- Report Market Intelligence: Stay informed of evolving market needs and customer requirements; share findings with the product team regularly
Skills
- Must be fluent in French & English
- 1–3 years of experience in a BDR, SDR, or inside sales role (SaaS or growth-stage environment preferred)
- Bachelor's Degree in relevant field of study
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to manage time effectively and meet performance targets
- Comfort with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales engagement tools
- Experience in a SaaS or growth-stage environment
