## Project Overview
We're seeking an intermediate-level developer to build comprehensive Power BI reports integrated with QuickBooks Online data. This is a 1-month temporary position focused on creating new financial and operational dashboards from scratch. You'll be extracting data from QuickBooks Online and designing interactive Power BI reports for business intelligence.
## Key Responsibilities
- Build data pipeline from **QuickBooks Online** to **Power BI**
- Create comprehensive financial dashboards and reports including:
- Financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet)
- Sales and revenue analytics
- Expense tracking and analysis
- Customer/vendor reporting
- Cash flow and forecasting reports
- Design interactive visualizations with drill-down capabilities
- Implement data refresh schedules and automation
- Optimize data models for performance
- Document data flows, transformations, and report functionality
- Collaborate with our team via Git for version control
## Required Skills & Experience
• *Must Have:**
- Strong experience with **Power BI** (report building, DAX, Power Query)
- Proficiency in **Python** for data extraction and ETL processes
- Solid understanding of **QuickBooks Online API** and accounting data structures
- Experience with **REST APIs** and OAuth 2.0 authentication
- Knowledge of **SQL** and data modeling best practices
- Hands-on experience with **Git** and version control workflows
- Understanding of financial reports and accounting concepts (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
• *Nice to Have:**
- Experience with QuickBooks Online API specifically
- Knowledge of Power BI Service, scheduled refreshes, and gateway setup
- Familiarity with **JavaScript** for custom visualizations
- Experience with data warehousing or ETL tools
- Background in financial analysis or accounting
- Experience with incremental data loading strategies
## Project Details
- **Duration:** 1 month (approximately 4 weeks)
- **Commitment:** Part-time to full-time (flexible based on availability)
- **Budget:** $1,000 - $2,500 (fixed price or hourly, negotiable based on experience)
- **Start Date:** As soon as possible
## Communication & Working Style
- Regular updates on progress (daily or every other day)
- Comfortable working with remote teams
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Responsive to questions and feedback
- Available for occasional video calls for clarifications
