The Pharmacy Technician is responsible for the following: - Completes daily operational tasks related to the Direct Ship prior authorization program - Process prior authorization requests in a timely manner in accordance with accepted policies and procedures - Performs complex medical necessity reviews in accordance with medical criteria review and medical policy - Responds timely and accurately to calls and inquiries from both internal and external customers - Accurately tracks all daily activities and productivity - Performs additional duties as assigned - Completes daily operational tasks related to the Direct Ship prior authorization program - Process prior authorization requests in a timely manner in accordance with accepted policies and procedures - Performs complex medical necessity reviews in accordance with medical criteria review and medical policy - Responds timely and accurately to calls and inquiries from both internal and external customers - Accurately tracks all daily activities and productivity - Performs additional duties as assigned   Education and Experience: Certified Pharmacy Technician with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a retail, hospital, or a managed care pharmacy. Skills: Exceptional communication, problem solving, and interpersonal skills; focused, professionalism, action oriented with strong ability to set priorities and obtain results. Organized, demonstrates excellent team management skills. Team Player. Ability to effectively utilize time management.     Fully Remote: This role is designated by Independence as fully remote. The incumbent will not be required to report to one of Independence’s physical office locations to perform the work. However, the work must be performed in the Tri-State Area of Delaware, New Jersey, or Pennsylvania. IBX is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
