We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Part-Time Professional Writing Tutor to join our team at Penn State Brandywine's Writing Studio. As a Writing Tutor, you will play a vital role in supporting students' academic achievement by providing individualized instruction and guidance on writing skills.
Job Summary:
- Assist students with improving their writing skills through one-on-one tutorials and small group sessions
- Develop and lead workshops on various writing topics and create educational resources
- Collaborate with students to review course material, discuss assignments, and provide feedback on writing assignments
- Track student progress, provide constructive feedback, and maintain confidentiality
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (Master's degree preferred) in English or a closely related field
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Experience in teaching or tutoring writing (highly desirable)
- Strong interest in collaborative pedagogy and student-centered learning
