Key Responsibilities:
As a Mammography Technologist - Special Procedures Radiologic Technologist I/II, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and performing mammographic specialized procedures for the diagnosis of breast conditions
- Explaining procedures to patients and answering questions
- Positioning patients for exams and determining equipment requirements
- Assisting physicians or nurses during procedures
- Maintaining patient records and ensuring accurate documentation
- Participating in quality improvement activities to ensure high-quality patient care
Requirements and Qualifications:
Essential Qualifications:
- Certification as a Radiologic Technologist and Mammographic Radiologic Technologist with the State of California, Department of Public Health
- Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) and possession of a California State Mammography certificate or ARRT (M) credential
- Healthcare Provider level Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Ability to obtain certification in Fluoroscopy with the State of California, Department of Public Health within six months of hire
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience as a Radiologic Technologist, preferably in a mammography setting
- Knowledge of breast imaging and diagnostic procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
