Roles and Responsibilities
As a Licensed Professional Counselor with Headlight, you'll play a critical role in delivering exceptional care to our clients. Here are some of the key responsibilities:
- Establish Positive Rapport: Build trusting relationships with patients, creating a safe and supportive environment for them to share their concerns.
- Diagnose and Treat: Diagnose and treat mental health disorders, developing individualized treatment plans that cater to each patient's unique needs and circumstances.
- Create Treatment Plans: Develop and implement treatment plans that are tailored to each patient's needs, adjusting them as necessary to ensure optimal progress.
- Conduct Ongoing Assessments: Regularly assess patient progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as needed to ensure patients are achieving their goals.
- Involve Family Members: Involve and advise family members when appropriate, ensuring that patients receive the support they need from their loved ones.
- Plan Outreach and Referral Activities: Participate in outreach and referral activities in surrounding communities, helping to raise awareness about our services and ensure that clients receive the care they need.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you'll need to meet the following qualifications:
- Education: Master's level degree or higher in a related field (e.g., counseling, psychology, social work).
- Licensure: Full, unencumbered PsyD, LMFT/LCSW/LPC license (license based on office location). Applicants without a valid, active license will not be considered.
- Experience: 2+ years of experience providing diagnostic assessment and therapy services.
- Professional Licensure and Certification: Maintain professional licensure and/or certification throughout employment with Headlight.
- Teamwork and Communication: Ability to work as a team member and cooperatively, with superb organizational skills and excellent written and oral communication skills.
