Key Account Manager - Beauty & Personal Care

About the Position As a Key Account Manager, you will play a critical role in accelerating the growth of ALS BPC by developing strategic relationships with existing and target enterprise clients across the Beauty and Personal Care sector. Your primary focus will be on expanding account value through the sale of Clinical and Analytical Services, supporting the testing and evaluation of new products through scientifically controlled studies and laboratory analysis. You will act as a trusted commercial partner to your customers — understanding their pipelines, innovation priorities, and regulatory needs — while positioning ALS as the laboratory partner of choice. This is a strategic, relationship-driven role requiring commercial leadership, consultative selling skills, and the ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments within global organizations. This is a full-time position based on the East Coast, offering hybrid-to-remote flexibility or the option of being based at our Purchase, New York facility. Occasional in-person collaboration is encouraged to stay connected with colleagues and clients across major beauty hubs including New York, New Jersey, Boston, and Philadelphia. Key Responsibilities: · Own and grow a portfolio of strategic accounts within the Beauty & Personal Care industry. · Develop long-term account strategies to increase revenue, penetration, and client retention. · Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities across clinical, analytical, and lifecycle services. · Build strong relationships with R&D, regulatory, marketing, and procurement stakeholders within client organizations. · Lead complex commercial discussions, proposals, and contract negotiations. · Manage the full opportunity lifecycle from qualification through close and implementation. · Collaborate closely with laboratory, technical, and operational teams to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction. · Maintain accurate pipeline forecasting and account intelligence using CRM systems. · Monitor industry trends, innovation pipelines, and competitor activity to inform strategic positioning. · Represent ALS at industry events, conferences, and client meetings to strengthen market presence. Success in this role can lead to expanded commercial responsibilities and career progression within our global Beauty and Personal Care network. About you We are seeking a commercially driven professional with a strong relationship-management mindset and the ability to operate confidently within complex client environments. You are proactive, credible, and motivated by delivering measurable business impact through strategic partnerships. To excel in this position, you should have: · A relevant educational background—ideally in Life Sciences or a related discipline—or equivalent professional experience with a demonstrable record of achievement. · 3–10+ years of experience in account management, business development, or technical sales (scientific services preferred). · Demonstrated success managing key accounts or complex B2B relationships. · Strong consultative selling and stakeholder engagement skills. · Excellent communication and presentation abilities with executive-level credibility. · Commercial acumen with the ability to identify growth opportunities and convert them into revenue. · Strong organizational and time-management capabilities. · Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams. · Familiarity with CRM platforms such as Salesforce (preferred). · Comfort leveraging AI tools to enhance productivity and client insights. · Willingness to travel to client meetings, industry events, and trade shows. Desired Experience: · Experience in laboratory services, contract research/testing, or TIC industries. · Exposure to Beauty & Personal Care, pharmaceutical, or consumer product sectors. · Experience working with enterprise or multinational clients. · Participation in industry exhibitions or conferences.
