Job Summary
As an Information Technology Analyst - Amazon Data Entry Specialist in our Corporate Framework Services (CIS) team, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and delivering key data solutions. Your primary focus will be on enabling our organization to become a data-first powerhouse, empowering customers and driving business success. You will work closely with various stakeholders to extract, transform, and load data from multiple sources, design and develop scalable data pipelines, and ensure data quality and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the design work of various specialists on the project, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
- Design, develop, and deploy flexible and efficient data solutions that meet business requirements.
- Guarantee the quality, reliability, and security of data solutions through thorough testing, monitoring, and optimization.
- Develop and deploy high-quality data architectures and pipelines to support business reporting needs.
- Monitor data pipelines and proactively identify and resolve any performance or reliability issues.
- Ensure data quality and reliability by implementing data validation, error handling, and data cleansing techniques.
- Interact with various teams to extract, transform, and load data from a wide range of data sources, including CSV, Excel, Email attachments, SmartSheet, and more.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, technical teams, and operations teams to handle business requirements and deliver against high operational standards of system availability and reliability.
- Develop and enhance software to extend system, application, or tool functionality to improve business processes and meet end-customer needs while working within the overall system architecture.
- Analyze and resolve operational issues, perform detailed root cause analysis, and respond to ideas for improvements.
- Document data engineering processes, workflows, and best practices to ensure knowledge sharing and maintain a robust knowledge base.
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or a related discipline.
- Experience providing oversight to data engineering projects.
- Proven expertise with building, developing, maintaining, and enhancing flexible database systems, including data modeling, data warehousing, and building ETL pipelines alongside reporting solutions.
- Broad AWS experience, including hands-on experience with AWS Glue, AuroraDB (MySQL) - RDS, Amazon Workmail, Amazon SES, S3, Lambda, Redshift, SQS, IAM (User, Group, Roles, and Permissions), VPC, and Infra configuration and related components.
- Experience working with current data structures, Lambda-type models.
- Proficiency in writing and optimizing SQL.
- Knowledge and experience with Open Source Data Technologies (Hadoop, Hive, Hbase, Pig, Spark, etc.).
- 2+ years of development experience in Python, Ruby, Scala, or other platforms related to big data technology.
- Knowledge of professional programming practices and best practices for the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Experience building Reporting systems like QuickSight, PowerBI, or others.
- Knowledge and experience building data warehouse reporting systems for Business Intelligence (any technology).
- Experience with responsive design and UI working for data entry systems (Writeback reporting systems).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SmartSheet or Asana or HoneyCode or Powerapp.
- Javascript and/or React JS knowledge/experience.
- Industry experience as a Data Engineer or related specialty (e.g., Programmer, Business Intelligence Analyst, Data Scientist) with a history of driving, handling, and extracting value from large datasets.
- Experience building data products iteratively and integrating and managing datasets from multiple sources.
- Query execution tuning abilities using Unix profiling tools and SQL.
- Experience leading large-scale data warehousing and analytics projects, including utilizing AWS technologies - Redshift, S3, EC2, Data pipeline, and other big data technologies.
- Experience with non-relational databases/data stores (object storage, document or key-value stores, graph databases, column family databases).
