Credit Analyst
General Skill Sets Needed:
• Software Savvy - Experience using L360, Meridian Link, or other auto lending software
• Professional - this is a buttoned-up environment, someone who presents that way
• Conversational/Personality - engaged in a conversation and speaks well
• Drive - desire to join, earn their way into the company, and grow internally
Experience Needed:
• 5+ years of underwriting experience (auto lending/consumer lending preferred) - REQUIRED
• 5+ years of experience with indirect auto, direct auto, or even consumer lending experience. - REQUIRED
• Must be comfortable with high-volume underwriting across multiple credit union programs - REQUIRED
• Experience using software L360 or MeridianLink- Highly Preferred
• Strong communication, documentation, and customer service skills
• Prior experience working with credit unions or lenders is a plus
• Be able to pass a background check - REQUIRED
Job Responsibilities:
• Underwrite indirect auto loans and leases for 100+ credit union clients nationwide
• Communicate with dealers and credit union partners to negotiate loan terms
• Render decisions based on underwriting guidelines (credit reports, DTI, LTV, PTI, dealer risk, etc.)
• Apply underwriting decisions in multiple LOS platforms and document rationale
• Follow up on approvals and help drive funding to improve conversion rates
• Collect stipulations or missing documentation from dealers/members
• Monitor dealer productivity and support improved look-to-book ratios
• Collaborate with fraud and compliance teams during reviews
• Participate in internal software testing, training, and process improvement projects
• Work cross-functionally with ops, compliance, and processing/funding teams
• Maintain underwriting service level agreements in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
