**Key Responsibilities**
* Answer incoming calls from healthcare providers, veterans, and beneficiaries, gathering information and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
* Conduct research and evaluations to determine the best course of action for each caller
* Utilize client systems, soft phone systems, and customer relationship management software to efficiently manage calls and data
* Document call activity and make requests for corrective action into VA systems
* Maintain a working knowledge of applicable VA regulations, including 72-hour notification requirements
* Act as an effective team member, collaborating with colleagues to achieve shared goals and objectives
* Perform other duties as assigned by management
**Requirements**
* High School Diploma or GED required
* 1-2 years' experience in customer service preferred
* General office skills and knowledge of standard office equipment
* Working knowledge of software such as Excel and Word
* Data entry and 10-key experience necessary
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Personal traits of high-level commitment, motivation, energy, team orientation, professionalism, trust, personal honesty, and integrity
