Salary: 80,000 - 90,000 + 10% Bonus
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant with hands-on experience in lease accounting, fixed assets, and multi-state sales tax compliance to manage accounting operations across our regions. Your expertise will streamline processes, ensure accuracy, and strengthen controls across all accounting functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Conduct variance analysis to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement.
- Manage lease accounting, including ROU assets and lease liability calculations (ASC 842).
- Maintain and reconcile fixed assets and depreciation schedules.
- Ensure proper accounting for new lease agreements and asset acquisitions.
- Prepare journal entries and perform balance sheet reconciliations.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with multi-state sales tax regulations.
- Work with operations to maintain accurate sales tax reporting and filings.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, accounting standards, and regulations.
- Support external audits and implement internal controls to safeguard assets.
- Identify opportunities to streamline accounting workflows.
- Assist with ad hoc reporting and special projects to enhance efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.
- 5–7+ years of corporate accounting experience with proven ability to work independently and take ownership of key accounting processes.
- Experience with lease accounting (ASC 842) and fixed assets strongly preferred.
