FAIR HOUSING TESTING COORDINATOR (Worcester)

Community Legal Aid (CLA) is a non-profit legal services program providing free civil legal assistance to eligible low-income and elderly clients in Central and Western Massachusetts. They are seeking a Fair Housing Testing Coordinator to conduct community outreach about fair housing rights, provide litigation support, recruit and train testers, and assist with grant-writing and reporting. Responsibilities - Conduct community outreach about fair housing rights - Provide litigation support for the fair housing unit - Recruit and train fair housing testers - Design tests - Assist with grant-writing and reporting - Occasionally work outside normal business hours to conduct outreach and debrief testers Skills - Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university, or one to two years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience required - Proficiency in word processing, data entry, Excel, and internet research required - Demonstrated ability to set priorities; manage multiple tasks; meet deadlines; and strategize, plan and implement programmatic initiatives - Demonstrated ability to engage in detailed and thorough record-keeping for reporting to funders - Meticulous attention to detail and excellent verbal and written communication skills - Experience working effectively and respectfully with individuals from diverse backgrounds and dealing with confidential and sensitive issues - Ability to work independently and to support team efforts - Experience in volunteer coordination or housing advocacy - Proficiency in Spanish - Prior experience preparing grant reports Benefits - 401(k) with employer-paid contribution - Low-cost health insurance (medical, dental, and vision) for employees and their dependents - Paid leave (4 weeks vacation, 3 personal days, 12 sick days, and 13 holidays) - Relocation stipend Company Overview - Community Legal Aid, Inc.
