Job Overview
We are currently seeking experienced ELL English/Reading tutors to work with K-6 students in a virtual setting. Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality virtual tutoring services to K-6 ELL students in English/Reading, using provided lesson content and materials
- Engage with students in a virtual classroom setting, using a range of online tools and technologies to facilitate learning and instruction
- Develop and implement personalized learning plans to meet the unique needs and goals of each student
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and other stakeholders to ensure that students receive the support they need to succeed
- Collaborate with other tutors and educators to share best practices and improve student outcomes
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training to stay up-to-date on the latest research and methodologies in ELL instruction
Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following requirements and qualifications:
- TESOL/TEFL/TESL Certificate preferred (will upload at time of application)
- Experience working with ESL/EFL learners, with a strong understanding of the challenges and opportunities of ELL instruction
- ESL virtual tutor experience a plus, with a strong track record of success in online tutoring environments
- Relevant experience working with school-age learners in some capacity, with a strong understanding of child development and learning theory
- Relatively consistent ongoing calendar availability, week to week at the same time, with a minimum of 3 days per week available for tutoring
- Ability to effectively instruct and engage students with clear communication, using a range of online tools and technologies
- A high comfort level with online virtual tools and technology, including desktop or laptop computers, video cameras, and reliable internet connections
- A bachelor's degree is preferred, although college students with 1+ years of relevant experience are also welcome to apply

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits
We offer a competitive compensation package, with a starting rate of $18 per hour. Optional opportunities are also available to earn $22 per hour for high school Algebra I, Algebra II, or Geometry tutoring sessions, upon successful completion of an Algebra I assessment.
